I went out today. I cancelled the bank appointment last week. I have been having a hard time making myself get out. I've been to the grocery and library. Each evening I make a plan of what I want to do and where I want to go but when morning comes I don't want to go. It's usually 11 before I shower and dress for the day. I don't know if it's because it has been so cold or if I'm just not motivated to do anything.  But today I made myself go to Kohl's and Target. I bought new rugs and a shower curtain, rings and towels for the hall bathroom.  I need to have everything painted first but it is a start and I enjoyed being out.

Todays card is a thank you (using pattern paper). The paper is Lawn Fawn and the thanks die is Simon Says Stamp. Be kind to one another.

Hi Brenda! So glad that you did manage to get out and about. I think it's a mixture of motivtion along with the weather to be honest - remember those baby steps we keep on about? You did good today! And this is such a lovely card too - lovely design!

Hugs

I'm so glad you were able to get out and about, Brenda. The weather definitely plays a part...it's hard to go outside when it's cold and snowy. Your card is absolutely gorgeous!! I love the design!! Have a great evening my friend!! Big hugs :)

This is so pretty! I love the patterned paper and that beautiful die. Happy you are getting out a little. It's hard for me to want to get out when it is so gray and cold. I have been so busy. My mom is back in the hospital.....it never ends. Hugs!

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed getting out, Brenda. I always love new towels! Your card is beautiful--love the pp & that die is on my wishlist! Felt like spring here today--record high in a town near us & maybe here, too. Now we have storms coming again, but that's Oregon!

Hi, Brenda! What a sweet card!! Glad to hear you were able to get out and about a bit and even enjoyed a little shopping. Some days I don't feel very motivated either. Just take it one day at a time. You're doing great. Hugs!

Eep! I love that die, Brenda! And how it pairs so nicely with pp like you've done here! That's a design I would make ten of just to keep on hand.

Good for you for making it out today! The important bit is that you enjoyed it! If you didn't, that would be another story. And I think it's good that you continue to make lists for what you are going to go out and do the next day. When you stop making lists, that's when we worry. Please do continue to force yourself to go even during the winter so that you don't establish a new habit of not going out by the time spring arrives. A new shower curtain and towels always put a skip in my step!

I'm sorry I haven't called this week. It's been super busy, but (like you going out) each night I tell myself I'll call you tomorrow. You can relate! Friday is looking good, so I'll try and catch you then to give you the update. Love and hugs, Darnell

I know what you mean Brenda, when I'm home alone, I don't want to even get out of bed. But of course I have to get up and give the dog her shot so that gets me up when I don't want to. I don't go anywhere either unless people come to the house and drag me out. It's just so hard and the bitter cold doesn't help it at all. I'm glad you forced yourself to go out and shop a bit and that you enjoyed yourself! It is good for you to get out when the days are decent temps and sunny and just to have a little fun. Wish I was there to help you out because that is what friends do. So maybe see if some of your friends want to come over for tea. My one girlfriend and I have tea and sympathy all the time and then we laugh which is so good for the soul. I am totally in love with your card Brenda! That die is amazing and I wish I hadn't looked because now I want it. lol Love the pretty blue paper too. Simple, but oh so beautiful! Hugs, Brenda

I'm glad you did go out. I expect the inertia is partly from the cold, but also you were sick for a while, on top of all the other stress. It's going to take a while for your motivation & energy to come back. I do the same as you with the 'lists'- it at least gives you some goals to think about, whether you actually really do them. I love this card. that die is so pretty with the darker pattern paper. Good job.TFS & stay warm. Easy does it!

Thank you for visiting and leaving me a comment. When it is cold and wet and dreary I LOVE to stay home. I also save money by staying home and using what I have. Your cards are lovely.
